Agreement
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Benji Study Buddy. By using Benji, you agree to these terms. If you use Benji on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these terms for that organization.
Using Benji
You may use Benji to create learning paths, stream explanations, practice, receive Socratic feedback, and track progress. You are responsible for the subjects, prompts, answers, edits, and other content you submit.
You must keep your account credentials secure and use Benji in compliance with applicable laws, including laws that may apply in the European Union or your local jurisdiction.
Accounts and eligibility
Benji uses sign-in providers such as Google/Firebase to authenticate accounts. You must provide accurate account information and may not impersonate another person or use another person's account without permission.
Benji is intended for self-directed learners, generally high-school age and older. If you are under the age required to consent to online services in your location, you may use Benji only with appropriate parent, guardian, or school consent.
Credits, subscriptions, and payments
Benji may offer free credits, starter allowances, paid credits, subscriptions, trials, or other paid features. If paid features are introduced, the applicable price, renewal terms, cancellation options, taxes, and refund rules will be shown before purchase.
Credits are a usage-control mechanism for AI features and may expire, refill, reset, or be adjusted to keep the service reliable and fair.
Acceptable use
You may not misuse Benji, interfere with the service, bypass security or rate limits, scrape or overload the system, submit illegal or harmful content, infringe others' rights, or use Benji to create content that facilitates wrongdoing. We may limit, suspend, or terminate access if we believe use is unsafe, abusive, unlawful, or harmful to the service or other users.
Your content and learning data
You retain rights you have in the content you submit. You grant Benji the rights needed to host, process, display, store, analyze, and transform that content to operate the service, including saving curricula, progress, answers, feedback, and learning patterns so Benji can personalize and preserve your study experience.
AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or similar to output generated for other users. You are responsible for reviewing output before relying on it.
Benji intellectual property
Benji, including its software, design, branding, workflows, and non-user content, is owned by Benji Study Buddy or its licensors. These terms do not transfer ownership of Benji or grant rights beyond using the service as allowed here.
Third-party services
Benji relies on third-party services for authentication, AI model processing, infrastructure, analytics, and monitoring. Third-party services may have their own terms and policies. Benji is not responsible for third-party services outside our control.
Disclaimers
Benji is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, perfect accuracy, or that generated educational content will meet every learning objective. Benji is a study aid, not a replacement for professional instruction, academic judgment, legal advice, medical advice, or other expert guidance.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Benji Study Buddy will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunities. Our total liability for claims related to the service will be limited to the greater of the amount you paid Benji in the 12 months before the claim or 100 USD.
Termination
You may stop using Benji at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms, create risk for the service, or if we discontinue the service. Some provisions, including intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute-related terms, survive termination.
Changes
We may update these terms as Benji changes. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
